Anton Industrial Services replaced a 3-way valve for a major Dutch steel producer. In a short and temporary factory shutdown, the old worn valve had to be dismantled and removed, and the new completely prefabricated valve placed and assembled. Apart from the time constraints, the weight was also a challenge. Using a 500-tonne mammoth crane, they removed old parts and lifted the new ones into place.
This movable valve is part of an installation that controls the discharge flow of a factory. Because of its application, the valve is subject to extreme wear and tear. The new valve is therefore covered on the inside with Alumina ceramic wear-resistant tiles.
Thanks to good preparation, tight planning and necessary craftsmanship of the employees involved, everything was in place within the planned time.
