Anton Constructiewerken is busy supporting a façade in Oud Zuid in Amsterdam. This building, from 1905, was previously a storage facility for the Rijksmuseum. It is currently being converted into 18 luxury apartments with a parking garage. The current facade may not be demolished due to the monumental status. That is why we have packed this with a steel construction of 150 tons that keeps the facade upright. We put the steel construction in a U-shape around the façade, with a steel frame on the sides. This absorbs the forces. We are currently working on the second layer of this construction.
