Schiphol wanted a permanent location for the storage of contaminated soil. Because this requires a large, hardened surface, it is important to take water drainage into account. And because it concerns contaminated soil, this water cannot simply flow into the sewer or surface water. Anton Bouw & Betontechniek has realized a water buffer with a Waterblock basement. Here the water can be retained for a longer period of time and discharged with a delay.
