Anton Rail & Infrastructure has been commissioned by ProRail to renovate the railway bridge in Akkrum. The railway line Meppel – Leeuwarden crosses the river Boorn at the town Akkrum. The railway junction with the river Boorn consists of an electro-hydraulically operated swing bridge with a steel connecter bridge. The project included both the swing bridge and connecter bridge. Imagine the detailing and design work, repairing the cracked casting and the imposition of the intermediate pillar, adjust the bearings in the swing bridge center pillar and the overhauling of the pivotal points in the lift landings.
