In the summer of 2014 Anton Rail & Infrastructure mounted about three hundred meters handrail in the Velser tunnel during a major infra-extraction for sixteen hours. The railing had to be installed against the walls of a concrete box. The handrail, grates and ramp paths must make the escape route for passengers considerably beter in case of an emergency. In cooperation with Klaver Infra there has been orientation lighting installed on both the side of Beverwijk as on the side of Driehuis.
