Commissioned by Volker Rail Services/Public Works, Anton Construction & Concrete Engineering has removed two manholes in the Zeeburgertunnel in Amsterdam, filled them up with concrete and sealed them up to close. The motive for this work was a truck sinking through one of these manholes in June 2014. The existing concrete structure was so poor that a lasting solution had to be conceived. Anton Construction & Concrete Engineering designed, calculated and executed the new construction.
