Commissioned by Klaver Infra, Anton Rail & Infrastructure manufactured and assembled a lighting string on platforms 1, 2 and 5 at Amsterdam Central Station. These consist of a tubular structure which is attached to stainless steel wires. The construction is mounted to the catenary portals and facade of the canopy. On platform 5 an additional structure has been created. On this platform is a monumental switch-house situated, which can’t be remodelled because of this status. In case the line will expand, due to heat the line has a tensile force of about 2000 kilograms, to keep the line tight. The light line is approximately 300 meters in length on platforms 1 and 2 and even 350 meters in length on platform 5.
