Rainwater drainage on rail bridge

In the Frisian village Akkrum there is an extremely sophisticated swing bridge that connects Heerenveen and Leeuwarden. In a 72-hour weekend decommissioning Anton Rail & Infrastructure made several rainwater drains on the bridge to prevent flooding between the tracks. In addition, there has been installed 2 coatings of a high quality protective layer on the sleeve bridge between the rails. As it was not possible to have the swing bridge continuously closed, the work had to be planned and performed on a very tight schedule.
