Under contract with Adelte Airport Facilities, Anton Air Support has been working since August 2019 on a mega-project at the Brussels Airport. The 22 old Passenger Staircase Buildings (PSB) and 28 Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) are being taken down in six phases in order to realize 22 entirely new and innovative PSBs and 28 PBBs.
Each of the 22 PSBs differs in size, shape, position, proportions and layout. An unique and innovative project and all completely tailored to the client’s wishes. Due to the disruption of the Covid-19 virus, the work is unfortunately delayed with 2 years, but scheduled to be finished at the end of 2026.
The power of the Anton Groep
The power of the cooperation is Anton Constructiewerken and Anton Staalbouw worked together on the construction of the PSBs. This project is a great and clear example of the cooperation of different companies within the Anton Groep. Harder Constructie- & Adviesbureau, also an Anton Groep Company, is responsible for the complete engineering of the PSBs. They also prepared the work drawings and installation drawings for Anton Constructiewerken for the production of the PSBs and their installation on site.
Anton Air Support is responsible for the total project management on site, from the removal of the old PSBs and PBBs until the handover of the PSBs and PBBs to our client and their client. This includes also the coordination on the construction site with all of the subcontractors and side contractors. It’s a great opportunity and project for the Anton Groep.
