Het doel was het karakter van de 19e-eeuwse constructie te behouden en tegelijk te voldoen aan de moderne eisen van een druk station.<\/p>\n<p>Wat begon als regulier onderhoud, bleek al snel een technisch uitdagend project. Er waren ernstige schades, zoals gebroken gietijzeren kolommen en corrosie in funderingen en constructies. Tegelijkertijd werden verbeteringen in stabiliteit en weerstand tegen wind en temperatuur doorgevoerd.<\/p>\n<p>De perronkappen zijn volledig gedemonteerd, gecontroleerd en waar nodig hersteld of vervangen. Historische onderdelen zijn zoveel mogelijk behouden en hergebruikt. Nieuwe onderdelen zijn nauwkeurig gemaakt volgens het originele ontwerp, met een subtiele markering om oud en nieuw te onderscheiden.<\/p>\n<p>Werken op een station dat volop in gebruik bleef, vroeg om strakke planning en slimme fasering. Daarbij was extra aandacht nodig voor:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Demontage en terugbouw terwijl het station open bleef<br \/>\n\u2022 Beperkte ruimte voor bouwplaats en transport<br \/>\n\u2022 Veiligheid en comfort voor reizigers<br \/>\n\u2022 Schades die pas zichtbaar werden na het verwijderen van oude verflagen<\/p>\n<p>Het resultaat is een stevige, toekomstbestendige constructie die het historische karakter volledig behoudt. De perronkappen zijn weer in goede staat en klaar voor de komende jaren. Het project laat zien dat vakmanschap, kwaliteit en technisch inzicht hand in hand
