Omdat het huisje wat bovenop de kelder stond geen functie heeft in het nieuwe ontwerp, is ervoor gekozen om deze te slopen in een nachtelijke buitendienststelling. Daarna heeft Anton Bouw & Betontechniek op de oude vloer een nieuwe betonplaat gestort met twee sparingen. De zijn bedoeld voor de stalen luiken die de kelder straks afsluiten.<\/p>\n<p>In de pompkelder van 4,5 meter diep zijn nieuwe doorvoeren gemaakt en ingestort door onder andere Anton Bouw & Betontechniek. Loos Betonreparaties is verantwoordelijk voor het verwijderen van het aanwezige betonrot. Zij hebben de wapening geconserveerd en nieuw beton aangesmeerd. Om ervoor te zorgen dat de kelder de komende decennia blijft functioneren, worden de wanden gecoat.<\/p>\n<p>De pompinstallatie die in de kelder stond was defect. Deze wordt door de Gemeente Haarlem vervangen voor een nieuwe
