Een immense oppervlakte aan betonvloeren, betonwanden, raamdorpels, kozijnen, dakranden en balkons worden allemaal vervangen en gerestaureerd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Historie suikerfabriek<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 1863 wordt in Halfweg de eerste suikerfabriek geopend.\u00a0Na enkele jaren sluit deze suikerfabriek, waarna niet veel later de N.V. Suikerfabriek Holland er zich vestigt. In 1919 wordt de N.V. Suikerfabriek Holland ondergebracht bij de Centrale Suiker Maatschappij. Zo ontstaat de naam CSM-terrein.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zoete combinatie van business & pleasure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sinds 2000 wordt er\u00a0aan de herontwikkeling van het SugarCity-terrein gewerkt. Op het voormalig terrein van de CSM Suikerfabriek in Halfweg krijgt 110.000 m\u00b2 een nieuwe functie. Het hele gebied wordt aangepakt. De\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sugarcity.com\/ontdek-het-gebied\/suikersilos\/\">suikersilo\u2019s<\/a>, waar vroeger suiker werd opgeslagen, zijn omgebouwd tot ultramoderne show- en kantoorruimtes, de 21.000 m\u00b2 grote\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sugarcity.com\/ontdek-het-gebied\/fabriek-events\/\">fabriekshal<\/a>\u00a0wordt gebruikt als evenementenlocatie en\u00a0opent het 20.000 m2 grote\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sugarcity.com\/ontdek-het-gebied\/outlet\/\">\u2018Amsterdam The Style Outlets\u2019<\/a>. Naast retail komen er (onder andere) diverse horeca, een\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sugarcity.com\/ontdek-het-gebied\/haven\/\">jachthaven<\/a>, een\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sugarcity.com\/ontdek-het-gebied\/supermarkt\/\">supermarkt<\/a>\u00a0\u00e9n een 400-kamers tellend\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sugarcity.com\/ontdek-het-gebied\/sugarcity-hotel\/\">hotel<\/a>\u00a0met ruimte voor events en congressen. Kortom, een plaats waar\u00a0business\u00a0en\u00a0pleasure\u00a0perfect
