Renovation pump cellar along the Bloemendaal railway

In Bloemendaal, Anton Rail & Infra, Loos Betonreparaties and Anton Bouw & Betontechniek are working on the renovation of the pump cellar of the bicycle tunnel that runs under the railway.

The pump cellar and the building on top of it were very dated. Because the house that stood on top of the basement has no function in the new design, it was decided to demolish it during a nightly shutdown. Anton Bouw & Betontechniek then poured a new concrete slab with two recesses on the old floor. These are intended for the steel shutters that will close the cellar in the future.

New transits have been made and collapsed in the pump cellar, which is 4.5 meters deep, by Anton Bouw & Betontechniek, among others. Loos Betonreparaties is responsible for removing the existing concrete rot. They preserved the reinforcement and applied new concrete. To ensure that the cellar continues to function for decades to come, the walls will be coated.

The pump installation in the basement was defective. This will be replaced by the Municipality of Haarlem for a new installation.
