This project was a challenge for sure. In the timeframe of one weekend, demolish two old train station shelters and fabricate and install a completely new waiting area shelter at station “The Hague Moerwijk”. The Anton Group had exactly 52 hours to successfully complete this project. The new shelters have a size of six by sixteen meters, six meters in height and made from a steel construction which is completely covered with glass. The steel parts and substructures had to be welded together at the adjacent building site. The foundation was prefabricated else where. Travellers waiting to catch the train that Monday looked surprised when they realized the train station had received a facelift in one weekend.
