For the Floriade, which will be held in Almere from 2022, Anton Constructiewerken has supplied and assembled various components for the construction of a circular bridge.
Bridge parts
The bridge consists of several parts. The components consist of the supports below, the sleepers between and the handrail supports on the concrete beams of the circular bridge. The support is welded on site with a welding height of 25 millimeters to the tubular piles of the bridge.
Circular parts bridge
The bridge deck and the railings themselves were made of circular wooden parts. The circular parts used for the steel parts come from an existing construction. The traceability and the load on the material have been virtually nil, which means that this material is suitable for the circular use of the parts. As a result, part of the old steel construction has been given a second life and is now used as bridge components.
The engineering was carried out by the principal structural engineer of the client.
